Every life deserves a book written with the craft of a professional biographer. Yours. Or theirs.

EverMemory is a professional biography service powered by voice. You talk — about your own life, or the life of someone you love. Echo, our AI writing engine, transforms 5–10 hours of recordings into literary-quality narrative prose, professionally typeset and delivered as a sewn-spine hardcover book, in 8 languages, in about two months.

No typing. No ghostwriter fees. No 52-week commitment. Just a real book — written with the care and structure of a published biography.

Why EverMemory exists

Some people want to record a parent's stories before it's too late — before memory fades, before the chance is gone. There are an estimated 53 million family caregivers in the US alone, and their most common regret is not having preserved the stories of the people they cared for.

Others want to record their own story — at a milestone birthday, after a health scare, at the point in life where enough has happened to fill a book. Not a diary. Not a LinkedIn summary. A real biography, written the way a professional author would write it.

EverMemory exists for both. The service replaces what used to require either a professional ghostwriter ($5,000–$30,000, months of in-person interviews) or a year of disciplined weekly writing — with a single voice-based process that anyone can complete in weeks, at $89 one-time.

The standard we hold ourselves to: every book that leaves EverMemory should read like it was written by a skilled biographer — structured narrative prose, not a Q&A transcript. Professionally typeset interior. Sewn-spine hardcover binding. A book someone would be proud to put on a shelf.

Gabriel Liu

Founder & CEO, EverMemory

Gabriel founded EverMemory as a 30th birthday gift — to himself, and to his family. A writer at heart, he had long dreamed of turning life stories into real books. When his grandmother passed away, his mother was left with quiet grief: so many stories she had meant to record, and no way to do it now. He built EverMemory for her. She talked. Echo listened. A book arrived.

What began as one family's keepsake became a mission: every life deserves to be remembered — and the people who lived those lives shouldn't need to type a single word. Before founding EverMemory, Gabriel worked across finance, technology, and venture capital. The team brings together alumni from MIT, ESSEC, and Peking University, with backgrounds at Morgan Stanley, ByteDance, and leading VC firms.

Frequently asked questions

How does EverMemory work?

EverMemory works for two types of people: those recording their own life story, and those recording a loved one's. Either way, the process is the same. You choose one of three recording modes — guided questions (100 curated prompts), a conversational interview format, or open-ended free narration — and you talk. No typing. For elderly subjects, there's a dedicated QR-code entry that requires no account or password. Echo, our AI writing engine, transcribes the recordings, organizes them into a narrative structure, and transforms the spoken content into literary-quality prose. You review and edit the draft. We then professionally typeset the book, print it in sewn-spine hardcover binding, and ship it to your door.

How much does it cost?

EverMemory is a one-time purchase — no subscription. The Legacy Gift Pack starts at $89 and includes 100 curated questions, Echo AI literary writing, and one hardcover book with lifetime platform access. The Legacy Premium plan is $299 and adds five hardcover books plus a CD of the person's actual voice recordings. Additional books can be ordered at any time ($39 softcover, $59 hardcover).

How long does it take?

The normal timeline is approximately two months: about five weeks of recording at one hour per week, two weeks of AI production and family review, then printing and delivery. Families who record more intensively can complete the process in as little as one month.

What languages are supported?

EverMemory supports 8 languages: English, Mandarin Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Japanese, Korean, German, French, Spanish, and Italian. Recording, AI writing, and the final book are all produced in the chosen language — including the hardcover text itself.

How is this different from StoryWorth?

StoryWorth requires the parent to type a written answer to a weekly email prompt — for 52 consecutive weeks. It produces a Q&A compilation, not a narrative biography, and is English-only. EverMemory is voice-first: the parent just talks. Echo writes the book. The process takes weeks, not a year. Our output is literary narrative prose, not a formatted email thread. And we support 8 languages for families where parents don't speak English.

Does the parent need to be tech-savvy?

No. EverMemory is specifically designed for elderly users who cannot or will not type. The parent's interface is a single button to start and stop recording. There is also a QR code elder entry — no account, no password, no email required for the person being recorded. Many families have used EverMemory successfully with parents in their 80s and 90s with no prior smartphone experience.

What if the parent has dementia or is in declining health?

EverMemory is often used in exactly these circumstances. Even partial recordings — a few hours of stories — produce a meaningful book. There is no minimum required. For families dealing with serious illness, EverMemory offers Pro-Vita: free platform access for patients in hospice or palliative care, provided via partner institution verification codes.
